A Nice Weekend on tap !

Showers and Thunderstorms likely for Thursday Night and Friday, followed by a Nice Weekend !

After a couple days of Very Hot and Humid weather, We're about to get some much needed relief. This all starts today as humidity levels drop off considerably, and temperature cool down some, to the upper 80's. This is all due to a weak cold front that crossed the region Wednesday night. This front should remain nearly stationary just to our south through Thursday night. Before we have the big change this weekend, We'll first have to deal with a spike in Humidity, along with some Showers and Thunderstorms. This all starts tonight and continues into Friday night, as a weak area of low pressure moves from the Ohio Valley to the Northern M/A coast later Friday.

Showers and Thunderstorms will move in towards this evening and continue for much of Friday, before tapering off Friday Night. The heaviest of rainfall and activity will be North and West of PHL. Some of these areas could receive over 2" of rain. South and East of PHL, I'm expecting lesser amounts of under 1" in most locations. This system will then move NE and out of here Friday night, allowing for Cool High Pressure to build in from SE Canada. This High will bring a refreshing day for Saturday, as humidity levels and dew points plunge, along with High temperatures only reaching the lower 80's. The Lehigh Valley could very well stay in the mid to upper 70's.

On Sunday we quickly get back into a return flow, as our high exits off the New England coast. Temperatures will increase on Sunday to the Mid and Upper 80's, but Humidity levels will remain quite low, so another nice day is on tap. So both Saturday and Sunday, expect M.Sunny skies and Breezy conditions, with Highs remaining in the 80's with Humidity levels and Dew points at very comfortable levels. Enjoy this relief as by Monday, We're all back in the Heat as highs approach 90 and the humidity increases once again !

Take Care,
Ruggie

John, thanks so much for this excellent blog spot!

I'm "littleredwx" on the Eastern boards, and as an amateur weather enthusiast, I've learned a lot, but this board kills me, LOL! ;*)

I don't post often, since I know it's never a good thing to say "But, how much for Philly?" ;)

Take care, and I'll add your website to my favourites!

Cheers,

Dee
