WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Windy Saturday and Pleasant Sunday, Continued Seasonable conditions.

Discussion:

A strong extra tropical Low well off the M/A coast, which once was Noel, continues to move NNE. Here in The Delaware Valley, We'll be on the western fringe of this system today. Most of the associated rains will stay off shore, but windy conditions are likely, especially east of PHL. Northerly winds of 15 to 25 MPH and gusts to 35 MPH can be expected today.

This storm will bring heavy rains and Storm force winds for parts of Eastern and Coastal New England today and tonight. High Pressure will build in tonight and tomorrow as the storm, rapidly moves to Nova Scotia later Sunday and Sunday Night. Winds will diminish tonight and Sunday should be a pleasant and Seasonable day.

As we head into next week, a strong cold front will move through on Tuesday. This will usher in the coldest air mass of the season, and a stretch of Below normal temperatures, for Wednesday into next weekend. Highs will be in the Upper 40's and low 50's and lows in the Upper 20's to mid 30's through the period.

This is the trough and pattern change, I alluded to in my previous post, where a trough will finally stick in the East, and the Northern/Polar Jet, finally gets involved, to bring much colder air and below normal temps. I expect mainly Near and Below normal temps, to continue into at least Mid November, with this pattern setup.

My Forecast: For The Delaware Valley

Today:
M.Cloudy and Windy, Highs in the mid to upper 50's. North winds 15 to 25 Mph with gusts to 35 Mph, mainly east of PHL.

Tonight:
Fair and Cold. lows in the mid 30's to near 40. Winds NW and diminishing to 5 to 15 Mph.

Sunday:
M.Sunny and Seasonably Cool. Highs near 60. Clear and cold at night with lows in the mid to upper 30's.

Monday:
M.Sunny and Pleasant. Highs in the low 60's

Tuesday:
Becoming Cloudy with showers possible, cooler with Highs in the mid 50's

Take Care,
Ruggie

Hello, I live in baltimore right outside the city and I love a winter with lots of snowstorms. We havent had a good snowy cold winter in a long time. Also it is the begginning of november and our leaves have barely turned color.
