MAJOR SNOWSTORM ON THE WAY FOR THE INTERIOR SE, THE MID-ATLANTIC STATES & PARTS OF NEW ENGLAND !!!

Tuesday AM Update 5:30 AM:

My 10"-14" call for LYH, VA from Monday AM is looking good ! The 00z runs were excellent ! I'll wait until this evening for my final call and snowfall map ! I'm leaning 10-16 for LYH, VA I might bump up a tad on higher spread ! Thundersnow Possible as well !

For the Delaware Valley: I'm forecastimg a general 8"-14" from this storm, with the highest amounts over Extreme SE PA, Northern DE and Interior SJ ! Some brief mixing for a few hours S and E of PHL.

Take Care,
Ruggie

Monday AM Update >>> MAJOR SNOWSTORM ON THE WAY FOR THE INTERIOR SE, THE MID-ATLANTIC STATES & PARTS OF NEW ENGLAND !!!

A Developing Coastal Storm on Wednesday will move slowly up the EC and be positioned along or just off the M/A coast near NJ on Thursday. Many will see 8"-16" from Upstate SC, all of Central and Western NC, All of VA, with the exception of SE VA, Eastern WV, All of MD and Centr...al and Eastern PA. The heaviest snowfall in these areas will occur Wed Night and Thursday !

Much of The Delmarvia, including DE and NJ will see some mixing issues which will hold down accumulations to 4"-8". A shift in this storm track could lessen or increase snow amounts along the M/A coastal Plain East of RIC to PHL and NYC.

These are my Preliminary Thought, I'll have a more solid call out Tuesday evening ....

Stay tuned, this is going to be a Whopper for MANY FOLKS !

As of now: ROA/LYH/CHO VA .... 10"-14" is my thinking with RIC VA at 8"-12".

Ruggie
