I'll have my final call out later tomorrow/evening ! But seriously the ice hype is out of control for those using major/Severe wording. The only area I see having the most ice accumulation to cause more serious issue with power outages and some tree damage is NW VA region. LYH/ROA/CHO I still think moderate icing to maybe significant which means more isolated power outages and some branches down h...ere and there. Not widespread destruction and run for the hills, or power out for days if not weeks !
With a more colder profile during the beginning of this event, more mixed IP/Snow will occur at the onset later Saturday night and continue for a 6-8 hour period into early Sunday afternoon, before changing to Freezing rain. This will dampen the chances for significant to major Ice accumulations. A coating to 2" of Sleet and Snow can be expected. Temps will be 29-32 over ROA/LYH/CHO areas during the ZR changeover into Sunday night. ZR will change to a cold rain later in the evening and continue overnight for ROA/LYH VA.
