Discussion:
High pressure now offshore, will allow for a SW flow of warmer and more humid air for today and tonight. A cold front will approach the region tonight and move through tomorrow. Ahead of this front a few showers and thunderstorms will develop later this afternoon and evening, mainly west of PHL. There's a better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms Tonight, with a few lingering showers for tomorrow. A large High pressure system will move in from the Great lakes over the Labor Day weekend, bringing pleasant conditions. This high should dominate our weather Saturday through Tuesday, with Highs mainly 80 to 85 and lows in the 50's and low 60's.
My Forecast: For the Delaware Valley.
Today:
P.Sunny warm and more humid, A shower or thunderstorm possible North and West of PHL. Highs in the mid to upper 80's.
Tonight:
M.Cloudy and humid with scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm. Lows in the Mid to upper 60's
Friday:
Considerable Cloudiness with a few scattered showers. Highs in the low to mid 80's. Humidity levels dropping during the afternoon.
Saturday:
P.Sunny breezy and Pleasant. highs in the low 80's
Sunday:
M.Sunny and continued pleasant highs in the low to mid 80's
Labor Day:
P.Sunny and warm with low humidity. Highs in the mid 80's
Fair skies at night for Saturday through Monday with lows 55 to 60 in the suburbs and 60 to 65 in PHL.

Looking good! Wish the weekend would be a bit cooler, but that's okay. Tomorrow's the last day of meteo summer, and that's certainly something to celebrate. Have a few "adult beverages" on me. ;)
I'm a "sometime" blogger, but I'm going to start up again in earnest next week.
And, Paul and I will see you at the Mount Holly "Open House". I've never been, and I'm really looking forward to it.

I love that title of your Blog, Please do pass the link along to me. My Fiance is into the space stuff also, LOL ! I'm starting to put together some data pertaining to my winter forecast. So far it's not looking the greatest if you like big snowstorms and Cold, but there's more time and data to review over the next couple of months. If I had to take a preliminary stab at it now, I'd say +1 to +3 for our area and Snowfall Slightly Below Avg at 15 to 20 inches for PHL. A moderate La Nina is not good, but a weak La Nina is better for more cold and Snow. I'm leaning towards a Weak to Moderate La Nina at this time. We start the winter off good in a weaker signal, and end on a warmer not if the Nina goes to a Moderate signal.
