Discussion:
After a cool and rainy pattern early this week, We'll return to a typical August pattern of Hot and Humid weather later this week into the weekend. A large cool High pressure system continues to hold it's ground over northern New England. This High has kept us in a cool Northeast flow since Sunday. Very warm air, just to our south has help to set up a stationary boundary, across the M/A states over the past few days. Waves of low pressure have been riding along this front just to our south, producing some steady rainfall, with amounts of generally 1" to 2" across much of the Delaware Valley.
Things are about to change starting tomorrow, as our high pressure system to the north moves out, and upper level winds favor a SW flow as we approach the weekend. Very warm and humid air will make it's move into the Del.Valley on Friday, and continue into the weekend. Overall the pattern will favor Drier conditions, so We'll dry out for a few days. Temperature and Humidity levels will rise quickly and temps will be near 90, Friday through Sunday. A shower or thunderstorm can't be ruled out for both Saturday and Sunday. The best chance for these storms will be on Sunday, as another front approaches from the west.

Take Care,
Ruggie
