WEEKEND OUTLOOK

HOT AND HUMID is a nice combo to use for Saturday, as the NWS has issued an excessive Heat warning, for all counties bordering PHL and an Excessive Heat Advisory for the entire Delaware Valley.

We finally did see some sunshine late Thursday Afternoon, and again this afternoon, as a warm front finally pushed through the region. We are in the beginning stages of a SW flow of Hot and Humid air for this weekend. Saturday will be the hottest day, as temperatures will be in the low to mid 90's. Very Humid conditions will push the heat index to 100 to 105 on Saturday. Skies should be Partly to Mostly Sunny with SW winds of 10 to 20 Mph.

A cold front will be quick on the heels of this hot weather, so Sunday will be somewhat cooler, but continued very warm and humid with showers and Thunderstorms likely. This cold front will slowly move through the area Sunday Evening and settle just to our south on Monday. M.Cloudy conditions with showers will continue Sunday night into Monday as the front crosses the area.

My Forecast: For the Delaware Valley region

Tonight:
P.Cloudy with some patchy fog developing overnight. Warm and Muggy with lows in the low to mid 70's

Saturday:
Partly to M.Sunny, Hot and Humid with Highs in the low to mid 90's. An Isolated shower or Thunderstorm is possible late in the day.

Saturday Night:
M.Cloudy warm and humid with a few showers and Thunderstorms. Lows 70 to 75

Sunday:
Considerable Cloudiness very warm and humid with showers and Thunderstorms Likely. Some storms could be Strong to Severe. Highs in the mid 80's to near 90.

Sunday Night and Monday:
M. Cloudy with a few showers and possibly a thunderstorm Lows in the mid to upper 60's and cooler with highs on Monday in the low to mid 80's

Take Care,
Ruggie

Can we organize a new NWS warning called "Yuck"? :)

You know, where you wake up in the morning, and the temp is already, oh, 80°, the humidity is 100 %, the dewpoint is well over 70 and it's only eight? ;0
