Discussion:
A storm system now developing over the western Gulf States, will continue to gather moisture tonight, as it moves Northeastward. High Pressure now off the Mid Atlantic Coast will continue a return flow of Milder and moist air, as it moves further offshore tonight. Our system in the Gulf States, will move to the Ohio Valley later tomorrow as it's associated warm front pushes north into the Delaware Valley.
This storm system and Front will spread a large area of Rain, some could be heavy at times. The steadiest and heaviest of this rain, will fall Monday Afternoon and Evening. I'm expecting a general .75" to 1.50" of rainfall with this event. Parts of Eastern PA could see higher amounts to near 2.00".
As our system pulls North of the region, and into the St Lawrence River Valley on Monday Night, precipitation will become more showery. A strong Cold Front will move through Tuesday morning, bringing cooler and drier air during the day. High Pressure then builds in for Tuesday Night and Wednesday. Skies should become mainly Clear as seasonably cold weather returns for midweek.

Tonight
Becoming M.Cloudy and Cold with rain developing towards morning. Lows in the Upper 30's to low 40's. Winds becoming South at 5 to 10 Mph.
Monday
Cloudy with periods of rain in the morning. Then Rain possibly heavy at times during the afternoon. Milder and Breezy with Highs 55 to 60. Southerly winds at 10 to 20 Mph
Monday Night
Rain during the early evening then some Showers and Breezy for the overnight. Continued Mild with lows in the Upper 40's to low 50's. Southwest winds 15 to 25 Mph and Gusty.
Tuesday
P.Sunny, Breezy and Cool. Highs in the mid 50's. Winds out of the West at 10 to 20 Mph.
Tuesday Night
Fair and turning Colder. Lows in the Upper 20's to low 30's.
Wednesday
Sunny and seasonably Cold with Highs in the lower 50s. P.Cloudy and cold at night with lows near 30.

We had a great Thanksgiving, and I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in all good starchy things covered in vegetarian wild mushroom and red wine gravy!
So, what are your thoughts on next week's cold shot and the fantasy GFS SECS storm?

Thanksgiving was great thanks.
I'll be doing a writeup tomorrow on the system for the weekend. The cold shot looks good for next week but the storm is looking more like a cold rain with a touch of snow and ice. At this time I'm not impressed. It appears this storm will cut just to our west or move overhead. This is not a good track for snow. Maybe some at the onset and at the tail end of the system. It's still early to make any exact call, but It will definetly get unseasonably cold next week.

Post on the storm for this weekend coming very soon. Some snow and Ice possible as a front runner on Sunday, then quickly changes to rain here in the Del Valley. Poconos into NW NJ, could see accumulating snow and prolonged period of ice, before changing to rain. A Blast of very Cold air and the Wind Machine is turned on for later Monday into Wednesday, Flurries possible Monday night and Tuesday as the LES (Lake Effect Snow) Machine, and CAA (Cold Air Advection)is cranking.
