What a day for Severe Weather and Hail reports ! A South Jersey Special

Sunday: 8/10/08

One of the best Severe weather outbreaks with a classic Strong Upper Level Low to trigger great dynamics and instability.

Please see the link I posted below, for observations across the region. I posted much in this thread, and chased a storm that had a rotating wall cloud north of Woodstown, Salem CO into Gloucester County near Harrisonville. What an awesome day. Many great reports, Issued warnings, and observations, are found in this thread.

More strong to possibly isolated severe thunderstorms can be expected for this afternoon, but any activity associated with severe weather will be more isolated today. Yesterday we experienced and outbreak of widespread Severe weather from the late morning into the evening hours. This mainly over Northern DE and most of Southern NJ. A few spots in SE PA also experienced some Severe Storms.

Forget the rain and the storms on the 14th...here are my first autumn obs!

Between the low humidity and the much lower sun angle, there was a definite "touch" of fall in the air this weekend over Southern New Jersey. You've got to love the lows in the upper 50's, and finding the first season apples.

Stressed trees are starting to change color, but it seems that most of the trees are looking a bit tired and dusty.
