A Very Pleasant Start: The First Day of Autumn Begins On Monday.

Say goodbye to Summer folks ! The first day of Autumn begins on Monday 9/22. Our last day of summer will be pleasantly warm today, after a chilly fall like start this morning. Many suburbs experienced temps in the low to mid 40's. With abundant sunshine and a SW flow, temps will rebound nicely, reaching the upper 70's to lower 80's this afternoon.

A very large, a cool, high pressure system, now over southern Canada and the Great Lakes , will press east and southeastwards early this week. This High will bring Mostly Sunny and pleasant conditions, along with clear chilly nights, from Monday through Thursday of this week. Highs will be mainly in the lower to mid 70's, with overnight lows in the Upper 40's to mid 50's.

So enjoy the first week of Autumn. Monday through Thursday look to be perfect.

My 2008-2009 Winter Forecast is now completed. I'll release and post my Winter Outlook, on Wednesday October 8th, 2008.

Take Care,
Ruggie
