A Clipper Storm For This Weekend ? No Big Deal, Maybe Some Light Snow Or Flurries For Sunday

Discussion: 8:00 PM
Tuesday 2/17/09

Here we go guys, I'm keeping a close eye on a snow threat for this upcoming weekend. More on this later, but our first storm for Wednesday and Wednesday Night, will be mainly a rain event for The Delaware Valley. Some mixed precip is possible during the morning hours, but this will quickly change to rain by early afternoon. Little or no snow/sleet accumulation can be expected. periods of Rain will continue into Wednesday Night.

As our storm moves to our Northwest and into NY State, a strong cold front will move through towards Thursday AM. Colder Air will slowly filter in during the day Thursday, as winds will increase to 15 to 30 mph and higher gusts. Some scattered rain and snow showers are possible as temps drop into the 30's during the afternoon with CAA. Cold and Dry condition can be expected for Thursday Night through Saturday. Highs will be in the Upper 30's and lows 20 to 25, for both Friday and Saturday.

During this Weekend things get somewhat interesting as a Clipper system approaches on Sunday. It's still early for any details, but I'll keep a close eye on this small threat. By later this week I'll have a clearer picture on this possible Light snow threat, and will do an full update Thursday night or Friday.

Take Care.
Ruggie
