More Snow on the way for Parts of The Mid-Atlantic !

Issued Monday 7:00 PM

An area of low pressure will develop near the NC Coast and move quickly Northeast and well off the Northern M/A coast by later Tuesday. Another nice swath of snow will effect the same areas that got a surprise snow event on Sunday. The big thump of Snow on Sunday gave parts of the Delaware Valley 8"-12" of snow from Northern DE to PHL and Interior Southern NJ !

Later tonight into much of Tuesday snow will once again fall from Central/Northern VA to NYC. The best swath of snow will fall along the I-95 Corridor from DCA, BWI, to near PHL ! This includes the entire Delaware Valley. Along this line a general 3" to 6" of snow can be expected on Tuesday. A few spots could see 7" or 8" amounts, especially near NE MD, Northern DE and parts of Southern NJ, but once again a general 3"-6" can be expected.

For NYC areas: 2"-4"

In VA:
Most of Northern VA will see 3"-5" amounts.

For Central and SW VA:
Central VA including CHO: 2"-4"

For ROA  / LYH / RIC, VA: A Coating to 2" With Rain and mixed precip changing to snow before ending during the afternoon.

Take Care,
Ruggie
